Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: June 3, 2026

This policy explains how SwitchEV vendor subscriptions are billed, renewed, cancelled, and refunded. It supplements Section 7 of our Terms of Service; if there is any conflict, the Terms of Service control.

1. Plans & billing cycles

Paid vendor plans (Standard, Marketplace) are offered on a recurring basis with monthly or annual billing, as shown on our pricing page. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize SwitchEV to charge your payment method on file for the recurring fee until you cancel.

2. Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current rate. We do not require any action to renew. You may cancel at any time to stop future renewals (see below).

3. Cancellation & downgrade — effective at period end

You can cancel or downgrade your plan at any time from the Stripe customer portal, reachable via Manage billing on your vendor subscription page. When you cancel or downgrade:

  • Your paid features remain active through the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
  • At the start of the next period, your plan changes to Free (for a cancellation) or to the lower tier you selected (for a downgrade).
  • You are not charged again once a cancellation is scheduled.

Your subscription page shows the date your current paid access runs through.

4. Refunds

Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable. Because cancellations and downgrades take effect only at the end of the period you have already paid for — and you keep full access until then — we do not provide refunds, credits, or proration for partial periods, unused time, or features you did not use.

If you believe you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge or a charge after a confirmed cancellation), contact us at contact@switchev.co and we will investigate.

5. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, your account is marked past due and Stripe will retry the charge on its standard schedule. If payment cannot be collected, your subscription may be suspended or cancelled and your shop may lose paid placement until billing is restored.

6. Marketplace product-sales fee

The Marketplace plan includes a storefront for selling parts and components. SwitchEV charges a fee of 5% on product sales completed through the Marketplace. This fee applies only to product sales and is separate from your subscription fee. SwitchEV never charges a commission on EV conversion work arranged through the platform.

7. Price changes

We may change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice. Changes apply to your next billing cycle; continuing your subscription after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
